The term “natural cosmetics” is often used incorrectly. Often, producers of cosmetics containing not only plant-based ingredients but also petroleum by-products tend to use it. The term is also used by manufacturers of cosmetics that have very little to do with nature.
There are official guidelines and certificates that define which product may be called natural, ecological or organic in France, Germany and the USA.
As Poland lacks such a certification process, producers are free to write whatever they wish on their labels. For example, cosmetics preserved with sodium benzoate (a food preservative) are described as “preservative-free”.
Therefore, we based production of our PAT&RUB cosmetics on guidelines of international organisations designed to certify eco-cosmetics. As a result, our cosmetics ARE NATURAL.
